Open Ocean Group is an independent advisory practice serving owners of motor yachts and superyachts. We provide the kind of professional analysis that owners of substantial assets in every other major class — commercial property, aviation, fine art, private aircraft — have long had available to them, and which has historically been largely absent from yacht ownership.

Owners of yachts contend with an ecosystem of brokers, managers, agents, yards, crew agencies, insurers, lawyers, and finance providers, many of whom layer fees, take undisclosed commissions, or recommend products and services on terms that benefit themselves more than the owner.

The absence of independent advisory infrastructure has made this difficult to see and harder to act on. We are not a brokerage. We are not a yacht management company. We are not a yard. We accept no commissions, referral payments, or other consideration from any party whose work we may evaluate. Our entire revenue comes from owners and the professional fiduciaries who serve them.
